To ensure the best experience, book a « Vue Mer » (Sea View) room with terrace. Standard rooms, hill-facing or back-facing, are perfectly adequate and cheaper, but this is where you get the magic of the place. The hotel runs several categories of rooms (Standard, Comfort, Superior); Superiors are larger and often better positioned on upper floors. Waking up to step out onto your private balcony over the islands as the sun rises is what Beau-Site is all about.

Logistics, lack of elevator , is a serious consideration. Top floor best views but also most workouts with 20kg suitcase. Staff are helpful and usually assist with luggage but for your own daily convenience heavy bulky gear is unwise . Also the walk back from the beach is uphill . It ’ s short ,but steep enough to get your heart rate up in July heat .

And do not miss breakfast. In most French hotels, breakfast is something added on, but here the setting allows making a production out of it. Linger over your meal on the terrace. For dinner, while the hotel does not offer a full evening menu-many three stars here operate "B&B style"-the beach restaurants at Saint-Clair are excellent; book a table right on the sand at Les Tamaris or Le Brise Marine for that romantic dinner eating grilled fish with your feet almost in the water (these places get busy so reservations are necessary in July and August).
