Some logistical facts first: happily, the Var coast is still not serviced by some direct high-speed train line to the beach. The nearest airport is Toulon-Hyères (TLN), about 25-30 minutes away as a drive might take. Nice Côte d'Azur (NCE) is the major international hub but much further—1.5 to 2 hours by car depending on summer traffic. If you are coming in by train, typically you would take a TGV into either Toulon or Hyères and then transfer here via bus (Zou! network) or taxi.

Most probably you will drive here, like everyone else. But get ready for the “Riviera roads.” The Corniche road up to the hotel is beautiful but also busy and winding. The slope leads to the entrance of its parking lot. Another big financial plus: Parking is free for guests! In a region where parking can cost 20-30 Euros per day, this cannot be considered a small saving by any normal standard accounting practice…but yes, the lot is pretty small. If your vehicle happens to be very large (long SUV or camper), then it might have difficulty maneuvering inside; better contact them if you’re coming with some non-standard size vehicle.

You won’t need your car to go to the beach, but you’ll need it if you want to discover the area. You’re just a short drive away from Bormes-les- Mimosas, the magnificent medieval hilltop village fifteen minutes inland or west towards Le Lavandou port ferry terminal to Îles d’Or (Porquerolles, Port-Cros)-the ferry terminal is only a short drive away and these islands are compulsory day trips for anyone in the area.
